Customer Reviews

After trying many of the “big” name cables I still felt like my cables were holding back the music from my reference system. By chance I met Roger of Blue Marble Audio on the internet and had a chance to fly out and hear his wonderful cables on his very affordable and modest two channel system. The music was so crystal clear and beautiful. I was absolutely taken back by the intimacy of the music and “live” performance in his audition room.

I purchased his Power Cords, IC’s and Speaker Cables in hope of transporting that experience into my living room. I am pleased to say that it happened! This one phrase really sums up what I experienced with Blue Marble cables, “Open the flood gates and let the music through!”

Wow! I was hearing ALL of the music for the first time. So much more detail and all presented with colorful intimacy. Equally impressive was how dead quiet the background was. Each time I added a Blue Marble component, first power cords, then IC’s and finally the speaker cable, the improvement was obvious. The total or cumulative effect is one of complete contentment for me.

Most highly recommended!

Hi Roger,

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy the cryoed power cord. With the Berning amp it made a significant improvement over the TG Audio and Supra cords I was using previously. After the 3 week break-in period the cables really came into their own. I would describe this cable as having a greater sense of ease, an effortlessness that was most welcome. Bass also seemed to improve. For the money I doubt it can be bested and since I am not willing to spend ridiculous amounts on power cords I feel it offers exceptional value. I have gotten off the power cable of the month go-a-round, this one’s a keeper.

I also wanted to let you know that although I didn’t purchase the speaker cables you so kindly lent me, only because I wanted to try another, I can say without hesitation they made me realize the potential of silver (hybrid) wire with my Merlin speakers. It has been my experience that silver does not work with the VSM. I am now convinced that it definitely will. The bass slam and definition with the Blue Marble was quite a significant improvement over the Audience, this I expected. What really got me excited was how smooth and extended the high frequencies came through and the mids had a greater immediacy. I tried to find a fault but after 3 weeks it was extremely difficult letting them go. I may yet end up with these cables but I wanted to wait and try the Stereovox Studios which are expected out in the near future, or so I am told. If this doesn’t develop over the next few months, I’m going with yours. At the price which is better? Well I have the Audience which are great but on balance I prefer the Blue Marble. I think you have great value products in those two. I’m looking forward to hearing the IC’s.

Keep up the great work, you have a great product!

Sincerely,

William McGee

I am impressed by the performance that Blue Marble Audio is able to build into their cables. These cables are clean, clear and balanced. The mids are natural and flowing. The treble is crisp and open. The bass is gutsy and controlled. But that doesn’t tell the whole story. The improvements are more in line with what you would expect from a component upgrade then a change in cabling. With these cables, your system will be able to grow. You won’t have to change out the Blue Marble cables when you upgrade your system. They are in for the long-term. Feed them better and you get better performance from them.

These are excellent cables at a steal of a price. Get them and hear how your old cables were holding you back.

I’ve followed the discussions in the audio forums about the benefits of after market cables and cords, but never really bought into the argument. But now I’m a believer! Adding Blue Marble’s power cord to my Arcam FMJ 23 CD Player elevated an already great player to a whole new level. I love detail, and I immediately noticed more; it’s like a veil has been lifted. Instruments, especially stringed and percussion, are now more realistic. I’ve had great fun replaying my favorite CDs and hearing the little nuances that I’ve been missing up to now. And, for the first time, I find myself being conscious of the bass. My monitor speakers not known for their ability to plunge into the low frequencies, but now the low end is clean and more pronounced. Blue Marble’s power cord offers a lot of bang for the buck. It’s a shame that the rest of my equipment has dedicated, hardwired power cables. I can only imagine what the system would sound like if I could add Blue Marble’s power cords onto my amp, preamp, and turntable.

You guys have changed my life. When I am not at the office...I spend my time listening to music. I do not watch football or basketball games on TV anymore. The number of hours I spend listening to music has increased tenfold. I have rediscovered music and some passages on CDs that I did not know existed. Your cables have made my listening hours more satisfying and complete.
